Supply Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools

£450–£500 per week (PAYE, paid weekly)

Connex Education is working with a number of primary schools across Swadlincote and the wider DE11 area who are looking to recruit Supply Teaching Assistants to support on a flexible basis.

There is currently consistent demand across local schools, with opportunities available immediately and continuing throughout the summer term.

You will be supporting across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, helping pupils stay engaged, build confidence, and access learning within a supportive classroom environment.

• Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson activities and classroom routines
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement within lessons
• Helping pupils remain focused and involved throughout the school day

This role is well suited to those looking for flexible local work, whether you are experienced within schools or looking to build further classroom experience.

• Recent UK-based experience working with children (school-based preferred)
• Comfortable supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups
• Strong communication skills and a patient, professional approach
• Reliable and able to adapt to different school environments
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
