Kitchen Assistant, Swadlincote

Our kitchen team at Cadley Hill View is a huge part of care home life. As a Kitchen Assistant you will support the Cook to plan and prepare a variety of meals that are appealing, nutritious and centred around residents’ preferences, requests and dietary requirements. You will also help ensure the dining experience exceeds residents’ expectations at every mealtime and maintain our state‑of‑the‑art kitchen facilities to high standards.

• Assist the Cook in planning and preparing meals.
• Prepare a variety of meals that meet residents’ preferences, requests and dietary requirements.
• Help maintain kitchen facilities and equipment to the highest standards.
• Attend safeguarding training appropriate to the role and participate in ongoing safeguarding practice.
• Recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and follow established reporting procedures.
