Senior Estimator, Swanley

We are looking for an Estimator / Senior Estimator to carry out small works refurbishment estimated for varied projects in the social housing sector, working with a contractor engaged with local authorities in London and the South East.

The client is a growing and dynamic organisation delivering key projects across the social infrastructure sectors. They need an experienced Estimator to join the team, to prepare cost estimates and competitive bids within the Social Housing sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Review drawings and specifications to produce accurate estimates
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure commercially sound tenders
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and meet tender deadlines
• Support handover to project delivery teams
• Monitor market rates and identify risks/opportunities
• Contribute to improving estimating processes

Requirements

• 5+ years' construction experience (Social Housing preferred)
• Knowledge of JCT & ACA contracts
• Ability to measure from drawings and prepare quantities
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
• Good communication and negotiation abilities
• Experience with estimating software (or willingness to learn)
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Quantity Surveying) desirable

Role: Estimator / Snr Estimator

Location: North West, Kent

Salary: 50-65k + DOE
