Burlais Primary School: Temporary Teaching Assistant Level 2, Swansea

(closing date: 01/06/26 at Midday) Required for September 2026. Full Time (27 ½ hours per week). Temporary until 31 March 2027 in the first instance. Current salary: £25,989 (pro‑rate, FTE). The salary stated will be subject to a term‑time only adjustment for the commencement of employment outside of the start date of 1 September.

Burlais Primary School is a successful and happy school serving the communities of Manselton and Cwmbwrla. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high quality teaching support and working as part of the team.

The post requires:

• An excellent understanding and experience of supporting pupils with ALN
• Sensitivity, empathy and an understanding of the community we work in
• The relevant qualifications and experience in a school setting
• Excellent Literacy, Numeracy and IT skills
• A proven track record of excellence
• A commitment to developing links with the community and an empathy with the aims and vision of the school
• Applicants should, in addition, highlight other skills, expertise and previous experience they could bring to the role.
