Senior Financial Accountant, Swindon

Senior Financial Accountant 6 month fixed term contract £50,000 - £60,000 + bonus (pro-rata across 6 months) Swindon, Wiltshire (working from home initially) Robert Walters are pleased to have partnered with a leading services based business based in Swindon. This well established and acquisitive organisation are looking to bring a highly ambitious and driven Senior Financial Accountant into their growing team. This role will oversee a team of 5 qualified individuals and will be a key business partner providing strategic, timely and accurate advice to the UK Board and Controlling team in all areas of accounting and governance. Key responsibilities: Take responsibility for the complete end to end Group reporting processes. Strategic review of changes in accounting standards to benefit overall business. Maintain and develop relationship with external auditors. Proactively steer the review and improvement of accounting processes. Take the lead on the delivery of UK and group accounting projects. Responsible for the accuracy and comprehensiveness of SAP ledgers. Ensure processes and procedures are in place to meet all the statutory and regulatory reporting requirements. Ensure audit information is obtained seamlessly from multiple partners across the organisation. Prepare the annual statutory accounts in compliance with FRS101 and company directive. Experience required: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent with significant experience within technical accounting positions is essential. In depth knowledge of SAP and experience with consolidation tools is essential. Experience mentoring or leading an experienced team would be beneficial.
