T. S. Converting Equipment Ltd, is a Taunton based, leading Engineering and Manufacturing company supplying specialised equipment to the Converting and Print Industries across the world.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to strengthen our busy Supply Chain team in Taunton. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving improvements in supplier performance, validating new suppliers and supporting purchasing activities. This role requires a solid understanding of supplier management & process improvement. The Supplier Quality Engineer will play a key role in driving Supply Chain excellence.

Duties

· Visiting suppliers to conduct audits

· New supplier validations

· Processing orders via the ERP

· Processing and closing of supplier non-compliances

· Identifying new suppliers.

· Expediting deliveries from suppliers.

· Liaising with suppliers & logistics providers to achieve lowest cost.

Skills & qualifications

· HNC or equivalent in a technical discipline.

· 3+ years hands-on ERP experience, demonstrating a strong understanding of Warehouse/Materials Management & Planning functions.

· Literacy with supplier scorecards and vendor management techniques essential.

· 3+ years continuous improvement experience essential.

· Computer literacy essential.

· Lean Six Sigma green/black belt certification desirable.

· Internal Auditor certification desirable.

· Experience in a manufacturing organisation desirable.

· Full driving license essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £36,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
