Machine Operator - Days, DN4

Questech Recruitment are looking for an experienced Machine Operator (with 360/Loading Shovel experience) to join our client's busy metal recycling operation. 

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is reliable, safety-conscious, and experienced in fast-paced industrial environments.

Location: DN4
Shifts: 6am - 6pm 4 on 4 off
Salary: £14.00ph

Key Responsibilities

• Operate loading shovel and 360 grab machinery safely and efficiently
• Load, sort, move, and process scrap metal materials
• Feed processing equipment and maintain smooth yard operations
• Carry out daily machine checks and basic maintenance

Requirements

• Proven experience operating a loading shovel and 360 grab (licenses essential)
• Experience within metal recycling, waste management, quarrying, or similar industries is advantageous
• Good understanding of health & safety practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, hardworking, and punctual attitude
