- Advocate for children'sbest interestsin all settings, including court and statutory reviews.
- Preparehigh-quality reportsfor reviews, legal proceedings, and planning meetings.
- Use soundprofessional judgement, emotional resilience, and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations.
- Promoteequality, diversity, and culturally competent practice.
- Maintain accurate and timely records using the council's case management systems.
- Engage fully inreflective supervision, training, and continuous professional development.
Essential
- Degree in Social Work (or equivalent) andregistered with Social Work England.
- Experience working inChildren's Social Care, particularly withChildren in Care.
- Strong knowledge ofchild development, safeguarding, and relevant legislation.
- Proven ability to managecomplex casesand produce high-quality assessments and reports.
- Excellentcommunication, organisation, and time managementskills.
- Commitment tochild-centred, strengths-based, and inclusive practice.
- Experience working within aChildren in Care or Looked After Children team.
- Court work and care planning experience.
- Knowledge of Cornwall Council procedures and systems.
