Description
Job Purpose To assist with the service delivery of the Community/Leisure Department at Hadley Learning Community on a day to day basis. Assist the Leisure Operations Manager/Duty Officer in delivering high level leisure services at Hadley Learning Community, ensuring a high standard of customer service and service delivery whilst maximising usage of the facility. Responsibilities To ensure the highest possible standards of health and safety and customer care within the facility, ensuring all health and safety checks are carried out according to the agreed system and recorded appropriately. This role working on a shift pattern between 6.30am-10pm and will require some weekend working, an average of 37.5 hours per week To assume shift management responsibility when required for the facility to maximise service delivery, and maintaining the highest standards of customer care. To deputise for a Leisure Operations Manager/Duty Officer when required. To work with and as part of the management team to ensure that the contract is complied with. To ensure that staff are capable and well trained, highlighting and correcting through extra training any issues which may arise. Provide a high level of service to all customers. Supervision of staff ensuring the facility operates to the highest standard. Security of facility To lead and assist with all Health and Safety guidelines and procedures. To ensure the facility is ready for the beginning of each shift with staff allocated responsibilities and equipment ready. Assist with the management of plant rooms and equipment to ensure working correctly and efficiently. Responsible for all daily checks of facility. Completion of all administrative work to the required standard and timescale. Ensuring all monies is correctly received and banked in accordance with financial regulations. Any other duties/responsibilities deemed as acceptable by Leisure Operations Manager/Duty Officer. Communicate effectively at all levels Skills and experience * Self motivated * Organisational skills * Plan and prioritise workloads * To maintain a professional relationship with the community/leisure team * To be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team * Required: National Pool Lifeguard Qualification Desirable: * Pool Plant Qualification * IOSH * Swim Teacher * Shift Pattern: 37.5hrs (Those 37.5 hrs to be flexible to cover other shifts as and when required)
