Die Casting Machine Operator, Telford

We are currently looking to recruit a number of DCM operators on a temporary basis for one of the world's premier global automotive suppliers. Cosma Casting UK are establishing a manufacturing facility in Telford in the UK. For this new venture, we are looking for DCM Operators. Cosma Casting UK will specialise in high pressure die- casting that designs and builds medium to large aluminium die-cast automotive components. Benefits: -Competitive hourly pay plus shift allowance -On-site parking -On-site shop -Retail discounts Hours: - 2 shift rotation 6:00 - 14:00 / 14:00 - 22:00 - Set shift 22:00 - 6:00 Position Summary: Reporting to the Team Leader the DCM Operator is part of the team responsible for the manufacture of castings on site, ensuring a safe working environment and satisfying all customer quality standards. Responsibilities: - Guarantee a safe working environment - Ensure all production processes conform to current quality standards - Manufacture parts in time to satisfy customer demand - Strive to improve production processes - Part of team to root cause analysis of non-conforming production and implement corrective actions - Quality check of parts produced - Record hourly performance and Key characteristics of parts produced - Promote the companies HSE policies across the department and plant and adhere to all - Health and Safety environmental requirements Personal Attributes: - Results driven with good written and oral communication skills - Able to work in a faced paced team environment - Effective communication skills (written and verbal) - Self-motivated, able to initiate and follow tasks through to completion Experience: -Proven Production experience - Experience of problem solving - Use of 5S to improve production environment - Good working knowledge of Microsoft (Excel, Word etc.) - Understanding of KPI's to track performance - Proven experience of technical ability (Die cast machine/mouldingmachines/machine Op/setter etc) If this role suits your current skill set and experience please apply using the link on the advert or via
