A specialist controls and automation engineering company based in Telford is seeking a talented Engineer to join their Test&Validation team. Working in close partnership with customers worldwide, you will apply advanced control techniques to solve complex engineering challenges across the full commissioning lifecycle from software development through to on-site sign-off. It offers genuine scope for international travel, technical progression, and skills development across the latest PLC and automation platforms.Salary -£52.5k £62.5k Dependent on experience Monday - Friday 08:45 - 17:00hrs 37.5 hrs / week Finish Early Friday Remuneration&Benefits 25 days holiday + bank holidays Statutory pension contribution Death in service benefit (4x salary) Overtime available excellent earning potential UK and international project travel Real career progression in an established engineering business Key Responsibilities PLC programming using Allen Bradley Rockwell and Siemens S7/TIA Portal writing, developing and structuring codeDevelopment of ladder logic, statement list and function block programs Configuration of system communications: EtherNet/IP, Modbus and Profibus Set-up and commissioning of AC/DC drives and inverters Application of PID control for flow, level, pressure, temperature and humidity systems Performance of hardware and software testing and validationOn-site commissioning of new systems at UK and international customer locations Delivery of customer training on commissioned systems Development of Robot and PLC software as required Remote customer support fault finding and diagnostics Adherence to Risk Assessment procedures and Health&Safety requirements Key Skills&Experience Proven PLC programming experience Allen Bradley / Rockwell as a minimum (essential) PLC/SCADA system design and development Systems, software and hardware development background Experience commissioning automated systems in industrial or manufacturing environments Confident communicator, able to represent the business to customers at a high standardSelf-motivated, accountable and keen to take responsibility Desirable Familiarity with Ignition SCADA systems Experience with Robot software development Qualifications BEng or MEng in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics (preferred) BTEC with significant controls engineering experience will be consideredOther Full, clean UK driving licence Valid passport (international travel required) TPBN1_UKTJ
