Kitchen Assistant

Salary: £13.10 – £14.10 per hour (based on experience). Permanent contract, 17 hours per week.

Working days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. 10:30am – 15:00.

Bupa is dedicated to delivering person‑centred care and supporting independence for residents. The Kitchen Team delivers delicious meals and enjoys working with care home staff. We are looking for an equally passionate Kitchen Assistant to join the team and help deliver an excellent dining experience.

• Act as the link between the main kitchen and residents.
• Assist chefs with plating meals, preparing food trolleys and keeping preparation areas clean and tidy.
• Monitor stock rotation and comply with company policies, COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
• Assist with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.

A passion for food with previous kitchen experience and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. Deliver excellent service. Maintain high standards, ensure residents enjoy a pleasant dining experience and communicate effectively with the wider kitchen and care‑home teams.
