Work on diverse and meaningful projects Develop your career in a supportive and experienced team Help shape the future of Wiltshires transport network What you will do As a Senior Engineer, you will: Lead the development and delivery of projects across: Traffic Engineering, Public Realm, Casualty Reduction, Active Travel, Traffic SignalsCollaborate with stakeholders, including: Members of the public, Local groups, Elected members, Contractors and partners Provide professional advice to internal and external stakeholders Support Local Highway Footway Improvement Groups Mentor apprentices, helping to develop future talent What we are looking forTo succeed in this role, you will have: Skills and abilities Strong communication skills - you can work confidently with a wide range of stakeholders Project leadership ability - you can manage schemes from start to finish Problem-solving mindset - you deliver practical, effective solutions Ability to mentor and support othersExperience Proven experience in Highway and Traffic Engineering Experience delivering Traffic Engineering or Integrated Transport schemes Knowledge of Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) Experience working with consultants and contractors Technical expertise Design software experience, such as: AutoCAD, KeyLines, KeySignUnderstanding of NEC contracts and contract management (desirable) Additional information You may be required to attend meetings or site visits across Wiltshire.
