Production Accountant, Uxbridge UB8 1JZ

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, overseeing cash flow, preparing submissions for film tax reliefs, and maintaining compliance with statutory company requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of film-industry accounting practices and experience working with production teams.

Duties

• Prepare, examine, and analyse financial statements and reports using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and other relevant platforms.
• Prepare documentation and financial reports required for film tax relief applications (e.g., UK Film Tax Relief, regional incentives, or international equivalents).
• Prepare statutory filings such as VAT returns, payroll submissions, and other company compliance documents.
• Ensure the production adheres to financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
• Ensure all qualifying expenditure is correctly recorded and compliant with regulatory guidelines.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and government bodies as needed.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently to ensure timely payments and collections.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to support organisational objectives.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
• Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth financial operations across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in financial accounting or related roles within the financial services sector.
• Proficiency in accounting softwares.
• Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
• Relevant qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent are preferred but not essential. This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to advance their career in finance within a professional environment that values expertise and continuous development.
