Civil Site Engineer, Wakefield

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting a Civil SiteEngineer on behalf of a long-standing civil engineering main contractor to supplement their regional team based across Yorkshire.

An award-winning main contractor who're undergoing successful growth, they have a people-focused environment and provide Site Engineers with the opportunity & training to climb the ladder and merge into management roles. They've secured a 5 year framework until 2030 with Yorkshire Water which is looking busy with 20x multi-million projects in view and more to come (mainly Treatment Works upgrades - RC structures, pump stations, storm tanks, haul roads, deep drainage, pipelines etc.). With a growing workload outside the Water framework there are plenty of opportunities to diversify experience into different areas.

Typical project locations are A1 M1 M62 corridor covering West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire mainly. An effort will always be made by the business to have Engineers working a commutable distance from home, with no working away.

This role is open to Site Engineersfrom 2+ years experience upto someone more looking to progress into a managerial role- can be adapted to suit someone's needs.

Duties:

• Setting out- using relevant kit such asTotal Station, Leica etc.
• Input into investigation and design development
• Management of quality and assurance processes on site
• Completion of quality assurance documentation
• Management of sub-contractors & direct delivery teams
• Organise & produce site relevant permits
• Assisting Site Manager to ensure smooth progress is made on site

Experience required:

• Proven experience asSite Engineer with a main contractor or sub-contractoron civil engineering projects
• Fully competentwith documentation and site engineering processes
• Industry related qualification is beneficial (HNC/HND or Degree)
• Must hold: CSCS card and full driving license
• Ideally holdqualifications such as: SMSTS, TemporaryWorksetc.

Remuneration:

A salary of up to 50,000 (dependant upon experience) plus:

Company vehicle or allowance, fuel card, annual leave, discretionarybonus, pension, healthcare and other benefits.
