Housekeeping Assistant – Wallsend

We currently have a Housekeeping Assistant vacancy within our Wallsend residential care home, working 20 hours per week.

The successful candidate will provide cover and additional support to our existing ancillary staff, splitting their hours between Kitchen Assistant, Laundry Assistant and Domestic Assistant.

• As Kitchen Assistant: maintain the general cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and associated areas. Tasks include washing crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils; laying and cleaning tables; assisting in the preparation of meals and serving light meals and beverages.
• As Domestic Assistant: maintain the general cleanliness and hygiene of the home, undertaking general cleaning of communal areas, bedrooms, toilets, bathrooms, laundry, hairdressing salon and offices, as required.
• As Laundry Assistant: maintain tidiness and organization of the laundry, ensuring all residents’ clothes are appropriately laundered, ironed, mended and returned to individual residents.

An enhanced Disclosure Barring Service check will be required.
