Machine Control Engineer, Walsall

Do you have a passion and enthusiasm for digital technology and GPS machine control systems? We’re looking for a Machine Control Engineer to join our expanding machine control division.

This role is perfect for someone with experience in GPS-based machine control, digital construction technology, or plant equipment engineering who enjoys both hands-on installation work, technical support and customer service.

Roles and responsibilities:-

• Installation/ calibration of Leica and Trimble Wiring base kits and Cab-kits, our business is an accredited Leica Dealer.
• Technical support for all systems both remotely and on-site.
• Familiarisation training where required for Operators and clients.
• Carry out system repairs, servicing, and calibration, liaising with manufacturers where required.
• Assisting with stock levels and checks, Pre-hire and off-hire inspections and testing of equipment. Use of Manufacturers remote support portals.

Ideal Candidate: -

• Background in GPS machine control, plant or mechanical engineering, surveying.
• Technical support knowledge on Machine control Systems
• Good communicator and excellent customer service skills. Able to build strong relationships with both new and existing clients. Alongside building strong working relationships with the ASKA team.
• Practical experience with mechanical, electronic, hydraulics or plant and tool machinery is desirable.
• A proactive nature with a strong focus on health and safety protocols.
