Service Engineer, M3

We’re hiring for a Service Engineer to join a specialist engineering business based in Manchester.

This position involves a mix of planned maintenance, fault finding and reactive repair work, supporting businesses in keeping their equipment safe and operational.

What will you be doing as a Service Engineer?

• Servicing and maintaining vehicle lifts, ramps and scissor lifts
• Working on equipment including compressors, tyre machines and brake testers
• Repairing and maintaining hose reels, pumps and galvanised pipework systems
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs
• Diagnosing faults and completing electrical and mechanical repairs
• Performing equipment calibrations, breakdown repairs and system testing
• Reading and working from engineering schematics and technical drawings
• Completing service reports and identifying defects
• Supporting garage equipment installations and system checks when required

What will you need?

• Mechanical engineering qualification or relevant industry experience
• Previous experience working with vehicles, automotive equipment or workshop machinery
• Ability to carry out mechanical and electrical fault finding
• Full UK driving licence
