Primary School Teaching Assistant - Immediate Start, Watford

Become part of a fantastic school in Watford as a full-time Teaching Assistant, working Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to children’s learning and development within a caring and inclusive setting.

In this role, you will provide vital support to children with complex needs, helping to foster their educational progress, personal development and overall wellbeing.

The successful candidate will have previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a special needs setting or as a care/support worker with young adults, particularly individuals who are pre‑verbal.

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)/Autism to help children meet their developmental milestones.
• Help create a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Participate in off‑site learning opportunities, supporting the children in varied settings.
• Build strong relationships with students and staff to prioritize progress.

• Experience working with children and a reference to support it.
• An Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
• Live local to Watford or within a commutable distance.

Pay rate is dependent on qualifications, experience and skills.
