Education/Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Registered Nurse/Paramedic with current NMC/HCPC registration
  • evidence of recent and continuing post-registration professional education


Desirable criteria
  • Qualification in physical assessment skills course


Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working in Primary Care/A&E
  • Advanced history taking course
  • extensive range of clinical skills - IV therapy, Venepuncture, Canulation
  • Evidence of recent substantial post registration clinical experience
  • experience of working with people with complex health needs
  • experience of working within a MDT
  • evidence of undertaking comprehensive health needs assessments


Desirable criteria
  • experience of supervising junior staff
  • basic IT skills including Microsoft office&Teams


Skills&Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • ability to work in a team
  • ability to work under pressure
  • ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • able to work without direct supervision
  • managing challenging situations


Desirable criteria
  • the principles of clinical givernance and application in practice
  • ability to supervise students and junior members of staff


Other

Essential criteria
  • Able to travel around the division
  • Requirement to hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car to use for business purposes (unless the candidate has a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
  • able to work flexible shifts and long days
