Financial Director, Wednesbury

The Role Reporting directly to the Group CFO and working closely with the Managing Director, the Finance Director will be a key member of the senior leadership team. You will play a central role in driving business performance, supporting transformation initiatives and contributing to value creation.This position requires a balance of strategic thinking and operational involvement—you’ll set the financial direction while remaining close to day‑to‑day activities, ensuring the finance function delivers real commercial value. Key Responsibilities Partner with the Managing Director and senior leadership team to support strategic decision‑making and business transformationLead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and long‑range strategy Provide commercial insight and robust challenge to enhance business performance Develop, mentor and lead a high‑performing finance team, ensuring strong governance and controls Deliver clear, actionable reporting, KPIs and performance analysisTake ownership of manufacturing finance, including costing, pricing, margins and stock management Optimise working capital and cash flow, and evaluate capital investment opportunities Ensure compliance with statutory, tax and audit requirements Support ongoing systems, process and operational improvementsAbout You Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Proven senior finance leadership experience within manufacturing or distribution, ideally in a multi‑site environment Strong commercial acumen with the confidence to influence at board level Experience working in private equity–backed or high‑growth businesses preferredHands‑on, visible leadership style with a willingness to engage with operational teams Ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insight Adaptable, pragmatic and effective in evolving or changing environments Package&Location Competitive six‑figure salary, plus bonus and comprehensive benefits package Based in the West Midlands with an on‑site presence required to support a 24/7 operation This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Director looking to make a significant impact within a dynamic, growth‑focused manufacturing business.#J-18808-Ljbffr
