HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER– WELLINGBOROUGH, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire . This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, weekly pay and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category C+E Driver, Tramper Driver, General Haulage Driver or Container Driver. Shifts• Four on, four off rota (rota provided) • Day shifts • Start times between 04:00 – 06:00 Rates of Pay• Monday to Friday – £18.00 per hour • Overtime – £20.00 per hour after 45 hours Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing work • Weekly pay • Training provided • Immediate starts available • Employee wellbeing programmeDay-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include but not be limited to:• Completing depot-to-depot trunking routes and trailer swaps • Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections • Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly • Adhering to traffic laws, company procedures and delivery schedules• Communicating effectively with transport teams and site personnel • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly Essential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need: • A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence • A minimum oftwo years' Class 1 (C+E) driving experience• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements • A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • Good spoken and written English • Five years of referenceable work history Desirable Experience • Previous commercial driving experience • Previous trunking experience• Experience completing trailer swaps Training Provided • Driving assessment required prior to starting • Training and ongoing support provided throughout the assignment Apply If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Driver, apply today by clicking thelink below or contact our recruitment team for more information.People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process.
