Administration Support Officer, Welwyn Garden City

Location: Welwyn Garden City (Hybrid working available after training)

Rate: 17.85 - 19.42 per hour (PAYE)

Hours: Full-time - 37 hours per week

Contract: Temporary - 12 weeks

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Senior Regulatory Support Officer to join a busy Regulatory Services team, providing high-level administrative, technical and operational support across a range of regulatory functions, including environmental health, private landlord licensing and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-level administrative and technical support across Regulatory Services
• Act as a point of contact for complex enquiries from the public, businesses and partner agencies
• Maintain accurate records, databases and case management systems
• Assist with complaint handling, case progression and regulatory processes
• Produce reports, statistical returns and data analysis
• Support financial processes including invoicing, purchase orders and budget tracking
• Ensure compliance with legislation, guidance and codes of practice
• Support team workload management and meet service deadlines

About You

• Knowledge of regulatory services regulations (i.e. environmental health, private landlord licencing, etc.) guidance and codes of practice
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office
• Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities
• Experience handling confidential and sensitive information securely
• Knowledge of financial processes including invoicing, purchase orders and budget tracking
• Strong communication and organisational skills
