Chef Care Home Environment Welwyn Garden City 40 Hours per Week Alternate Weekends Required Shifts: 7:00am 6:00pm Quest Employment is currently recruiting for an experienced Chef to join a well-established and welcoming nursing home in Welwyn Garden City. Duties will include: Preparing and cooking high-quality meals for residents Supporting the Chef Manager with the day-to-day running of the kitchenSupervising kitchen staff in the Chef Managers absence Assisting with menu planning and dietary requirements Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health&safety standards Carrying out cleaning duties and ensuring the kitchen is maintained to a high standard Supporting compliance with food safety regulations and risk assessments About You We are looking for a proactive and experienced Chef who is passionate about food and enjoys working in a caring, resident-focused environment.The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience as a Chef within a catering or hospitality environment A valid Food Hygiene Certificate City&Guilds 7061 or NVQ Level 2 in Catering/Hospitality (preferred) Ideally 3+ years experience in a similar Chef role A positive, can-do attitude Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently A friendly and approachable manner when interacting with residents, families and colleaguesA passion for producing high-quality meals consistently Whats on Offer Competitive salary Consistent full-time hours Supportive working environment Ongoing training and development opportunities Pension contribution Annual leave entitlement Employee rewards and recognition schemes If youre an experienced Chef looking to move into a rewarding care environment with excellent working hours, wed love to hear from you.Apply today with Quest Employment .
