About Us
We are a growing group of high-quality Residential Care Homes committed to delivering compassionate, person-centred care. As we continue to expand our private resident portfolio, we are seeking an experienced Freelance Marketing & sales growth consultant to help increase private admissions, maintain high occupancy, and strengthen our brand presence locally and digitally.
This is a hands-on, strategic and delivery-focused role, ideal for a marketing professional with proven experience in healthcare, care homes, or service-based businesses.
The Role
You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing and admissions strategies that drive private resident enquiries, conversions, and sustainable fee growth, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual standards.
Working closely with senior management, care home managers, and external agencies, you will take ownership of the full private admissions funnel — from awareness and enquiry through to conversion and ongoing optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Business Growth
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive marketing strategy to increase private enquiries and admissions.
- Design and implement integrated marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels.
- Identify and evaluate the most effective marketing channels based on customer needs, ROI, and business objectives.
- Monitor competitors and market trends to identify opportunities for differentiation, positioning, and fee growth.
- Act as a marketing role model internally, promoting best practice and continuous improvement.
Occupancy & Admissions Management
- Maintain occupancy levels above 95% through proactive pipeline and enquiry management.
- Handle and review all new resident enquiries promptly and professionally, delivering excellent customer experience.
- Work closely with Care Home Managers and Administrators to improve enquiry-to-admission conversion rates.
- Oversee financial assessments for private admissions, ensuring affordability and long-term sustainability.
- Ensure all admissions documentation, contracts, and processes are compliant with CQC, GDPR, and company policies.
- Deliver against agreed targets for occupancy, admissions, and average weekly fee uplift.
Brand, Digital & Reputation Management
- Protect and strengthen the Group’s brand identity across all marketing and communications.
- Ensure the website is robust, user-friendly, mobile-optimised, SEO-driven, and conversion-focused.
- Improve Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) to increase visibility and high-quality inbound enquiries.
- Manage and enhance social media presence (Facebook, Google Reviews, etc.), focusing on:
- Engaging content creation (resident stories, events, staff highlights, testimonials).
- Active engagement and community management.
- Professional reputation and review management.
- Targeted digital advertising to attract private residents.
- Implement digital campaigns and "local community outreach initiatives" to generate qualified leads.
Reporting & Performance
- Track marketing ROI, enquiry volumes, occupancy data, and admissions KPIs.
- Provide regular performance reports and insights to senior management.
- Conduct periodic reviews of admissions and marketing processes.
- Recommend and implement continuous improvements to drive measurable outcomes.
Key Objectives
- Maintain occupancy levels at 95%+ across all homes.
- Increase private resident enquiries and conversion rates.
- Review and improve average weekly fees for private and funded residents.
- Strengthen brand visibility, reputation, and digital presence.
- Deliver measurable marketing and admissions outcomes aligned with business goals.
About You
- Proven experience in marketing, business development, or admissions growth, ideally within care homes, healthcare, or service-led organisations.
- Strong understanding of private admissions processes, customer journeys, and occupancy management in the Residential Care Home Setting.
- Confident working with digital marketing, SEO, paid advertising, and social media platforms.
- Commercially minded with experience tracking KPIs, ROI, and performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of CQC, GDPR, and regulatory compliance within care settings (highly desirable).
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently on a freelance basis.
