Housekeeping Assistant, Clevedon

We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant for Poets Mews Care Home in Somerset. The role involves maintaining cleanliness, laundry, and general housekeeping standards to support residents and staff.

8am – 4:30pm, alternate weekends.

• Carry out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understand cleaning requirements of surfaces and coverings; use appropriate cleaning materials.
• Maintain well‑presented areas, ensuring they remain in good condition.
• Treat all residents with dignity and respect, guarding personal space and belongings.
• Operate according to the standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry.

• Knowledge of Health & Safety, including moving & handling, fire safety, CO S H H.
• Experience cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrated compassion and commitment to high‑quality service.
• Adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.

This position requires a Disclosure and Barring Service check, the cost of which the employer will cover. Proof of eligibility to work in the UK is also required.
