Job Summary

As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Company Accountant to join our central finance function, to deliver timely reporting across multiple operating Properties under management and support the business with variety of tasks with primary focus on financial bookkeeping, cost control and relevant management accounting works.

The ideal candidate holds experience in Hospitality industry (Hotel and Restaurants) possess strong organisational skills, proficiency in accounting software (Xero, Sage), and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate records using accounting software (Xero, Sage 50)
  • Reconcile daily income and expenditure with bank statements
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
  • Prepare management accounts, reconciliations and group consolidation for multiple entities
  • Prepare budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis to support Hotel operations
  • Manage payroll and maintain payroll records
  • Manage and support VAT Returns
  • Support administrative tasks and ensure proper filing
  • Liaise with external accountants and auditors, and assist with tax filing
  • Collaborate with team members to improve business operations across different properties under management

Experience

  • Proven experience in group accounting - gained within hospitality, hotel, property, or multi-site environment.
  • Proficiency in Xero, Sage and accounting softwares
  • Experience handling AP, AR and management accounting works
  • Experience with Management Accounts and Reports
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Hotel is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently and accurately
  • Experience with payroll processing
  • Proficiency in accounting software (ie. Xero, Sage)

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
