Secondary Maths Teacher, Weymouth

Job Summary

Axcis Education is recruiting for a full‑time Secondary Maths Teacher (QTS) to work at a mainstream secondary school in Weymouth on a temporary basis starting ASAP. The role involves planning and delivering Maths lessons, marking work, assessing progress, and supporting pupils to build confidence in the subject. The school seeks a confident, engaging teacher who can deliver high‑quality lessons across KS3, support students of varying abilities and maintain a focused, inclusive learning environment.

Working Hours & Pay

Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm. Pay is in line with the teacher pay scale depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3.
• Plan and assess pupils’ progress.
• Manage classroom behaviour and motivate learners.
• Support students in building confidence in Maths.
• Attend supportive leadership and departmental meetings.

Requirements

• Qualified teacher with QTS.
• Ability to plan and deliver Maths lessons across KS3.
• Strong behaviour management and motivational skills.
• Up‑to‑date DBS or willingness to have DBS processed by Axcis.
