The difference you will make asâ¯an Electrical Test & Inspection Engineer

â¯We now have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Electrician to join our friendly Electrical Testing team in Widnes to carry out Electrical work across the Liverpool City Region.

The successful candidate will carry out cyclical tests to assess the safety of our customers electrical Installations. This will be a thorough check-up of the electrical wiring, consumer units (fuse boxes), and other electrical components.

Teamwork is an essential part of this role, and there’s an expectation that our colleagues share best practice and provide support to each other in order to meet the common goals of the team. You’ll also actively seek out new ways to add value and take our performance to the next level.

About youâ¯

We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in electrical maintenance and testing, who has a sound understanding of the principles of testing, inspecting and fault finding.â¯

Essential

• A City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• A City & Guilds and 17th / 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
• A City & Guilds 2394 / 2392 / 2391 or equivalent testing and inspection qualification
• A full UK driving licence held for at least 1 year
• Have commercial driving experience
• Be able to demonstrate a high level of customer care
• Access to your own tools
• Respiratory Protective Equipment will be provided for this role, so you must be clean shaven on your first day. If there are circumstances where it is not appropriate for an employee to be clean shaven (e.g., medical conditions or religious grounds), the company will ensure that adjustments are in place to accommodate protected characteristics

Desired

• Ideally, you will have previously worked in a social housing environment.

Additional Information

The successful candidate will be required to complete the following pre-employment checks before we can agree on a starting date:

• Proof of right to work in the UK
• Completing a Driving Licence Pre-Employment Check form and a front and back copy of your licence
• Providing proof of relevant professional qualifications
• A completed Criminal Charges and Convictions Self-Disclosure Form
• A completed Health Questionnaire
• Two references covering the last 3 years of employment and/or training.
• The Group has offices across the UK and on this basis, there may be the requirement to travel to other locations to effectively perform this role, albeit that regular support will be required to teams in the Liverpool Region.
