ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER Job Title– Electrical Maintenance Engineer Location – Wigan Salary – £46,855 – £49,855 Shift – 3 Shift Pattern (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm / 10pm–6am) Job Role of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a hands-on Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join ahighly automated, fast-paced manufacturing site. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a large-scale production environment featuring one of the most advanced corrugation operations in Europe.The successful engineer will be working within a high-speed production area, responsible for maintaining and improving machinery that produces up to 26,000 units per hour. This is a dynamic role offering a mix of planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and involvement in continuous improvement and project work.You will be responsible for ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency across a range of automated machinery in a lean manufacturing environment. Sector– Industrial Manufacturing Key Responsibilities Electrical fault finding on high-speed production machinery Planned preventative and reactive maintenanceWorking with systems including sensors, motors, drives, and control panels Diagnosing faults across single-phase and three-phase (415V) systems Working with AC/DC systems, inverters, and PLCs (Siemens) Reading and interpreting engineering drawings Using CMMS systems (Maximo) Supporting installations, upgrades, and project workIdentifying root causes and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives Sector– Factory Maintenance Non-Negotiable Requirements Electrical maintenance experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment Requirements for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer Hands-on electrical fault-finding experienceRecognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) Experience working in industrial/manufacturing environments Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills and proactive mindset Desirable Requirements Experience with Siemens PLCs (fault finding)Background in high-speed or automated manufacturing Continuous improvement experience The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will benefit from: Working for a market-leading manufacturing business Competitive salary with regular overtime opportunities Overtime rates: Midweek– 1.5x Saturday – 1.5xSunday&Bank Holidays– 2x Pension (4.5% matched contribution) Death in service (4x salary) Sick pay after 6 months 25 days holiday + additional allowances Strong team culture and supportive environment Training, development, and project exposure Additional Information This role would suit a proactive, hands-onengineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in identifying root causes and driving improvements.
