Personal Care Assistant, Wilmslow

I am a young lady who seeks a Personal Assistant/Carer in the Wilmslow, SK9 area. To provide 1:1 care to access the community outside the home, and sometimes to stay with me in the home. I have complex physical and developmental needs, and it will be necessary to help me with personal care.

• 15 hours per week
• £14.25 per hour
• Alternate weekends, some evenings and school holidays. There is some flexibility over days and times.

• Take me out bowling or other events in the evening.
• Take me to a café or shopping on occasional weekend days.
• Take me on occasional outings further afield at the weekend, for example a trip to the seaside or wildlife/ nature park.
• Assist me to access the outdoors with wheelchair walks or walks using my walking frame.
• Assist with my personal care.
• Administer medication where prescribed.
• In the event of a seizure, follow the Epilepsy Management Plan.

The main duties identified in the job description are examples of the expectations required; there may be occasions where you are reasonably requested to provide additional activities to be undertaken inside or outside of the home.

• You must be able to work well independently.
• My personal assistant is accountable to me in all aspects of their work. They should always ask what my needs are and listen to my directions and requests.
• The post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure which will be funded through your employer.
• My assistant must be able to drive and have a full clean driving licence (car available).
