Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records using accounting software (Sage)
• Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
• Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts regularly to ensure accuracy
• Assist with payroll processing and expense reporting
• Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations
• Collaborate with auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
• Preparing VAT file

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within an organisation
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
• Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
• Previous experience with payroll processing is advantageous but not essential
• A recognised qualification in bookkeeping or accounting is preferred but not mandatory
