Team Manager - Qualified Social Worker, Wirral

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking to speak with Qualified Social Workers who have experience of managing a team, for an initial 2-month contract working as a Team Manager working within the Children?s Care Services at Wirral Council. You will be required to lead and manage a team to deliver high quality, effective and consistent social work practice, ensuring that the greatest care and diligence is maintained to achieve the best possible outcomes for children, young people and their families. This position is a full time role, working Mon to Fri 9:00am to 5:30pm ? paying £35.00 per hour Monday to Friday and £37.50 per hours of anything Saturday or Sunday if required. Qualifications; * Oversee a team of 6-8. * Social Work qualification e.g. Degree in Social Work; Dip SW. * Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and able to evidence this. Knowledge & Skills; * Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation relating to children and young people, care leavers and families. * Experience of managing a team within a Social Care environment. * Experience of dealing effectively with employee performance management issues in line with corporate policies. * Experience of working with children and families in statutory services.
