Support Worker Volunteer (Domestic Abuse) - Full Training …, Woking

We have a fantastic new volunteering opportunity for a Volunteer Support Worker to support a domestic abuse intervention project focused on reducing the number of child and adult victims through practical and emotional support, mentoring and participant engagement.

As a Volunteer Support Worker you will help participants set personal goals, attend planned office appointments and support outreach work within the local community. The role offers specialist training, paid expenses, supervision and valuable experience within the criminal justice and safeguarding sector.

• Good verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate and professional approach.
• IT skills required for administration tasks.
• Understanding the need for reliability, punctuality and good communication.
• Commit to a minimum of 3 hours per week and a 12‑month volunteering commitment.
• Comfortable working remotely and onsite within approved premises in Newcastle.
