Civils Operative, Wolverhampton

The role As a Civils Operative, you will play a key role in helping CityFibre to achieve our mission of delivering full fibre to up to 8 million premises across the UK. The Telecoms Civil Operative will be required to perform excavations, repairs and re-reinstatements, installation of ducting, chambers and street cabinet sand the installation of draw rope on telecoms infrastructure located within the public highway and customers premises using up to date client standard operating procedures and in full compliance to current legislation, health and safety requirements and company policies. You will help to build the Future of Fibre by: Providing new installation of duct, chambers, and cabinets & associated equipment. Clearing blockages in the highway and reinstate to industry standard ensuring all information/pictures are captured on company supplied assets. Installing new draw rope to customer's premises prior to installation date. Completing appropriate paperwork for your daily works (Job Sheets/Risk Assessments/Plant Sheets/Van Sheets). Managing risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on health and safety requirements and responsibilities. Being responsible for the company assets & plant assigned to you for the purpose of performing your duties. Treating internal and external customers with respect and provide support at all times. Ensuring compliance with all current client processes and procedures. Communicating effectively and professionally with internal and external clients. Completing Occupational Health Assessment Questionnaire. Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Licences: Being in good physical health. Full UK Driving Licence. NRSWA - Units 1 - 9 CSCS Card CPCS Card (Mini Digger) Towing and 7.5 TON Licence would be an advantage. Experience in a similar operational or engineering environment within the telecommunications industry. Essential Knowledge: Being competent in the use of Stihl Saws/WackerPlates/Trench Compactor/Mini Digger/Jack Hammer and holding the correct certification to complete the works. Proven confident skills in the area of street works Recognised academic training. Knowledge of BT Network would be an advantage. Industry Experience. Excellent communication skills.
