Role: Senior Electronic Design Engineer Location: Wolverhampton Employment: Permanent Industry: Aviation/Defence Remuneration: Competitive + Excellent benefits Profile This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electronic Design Engineer to work with a high quality team on the design and development of complex test systems for the defence and aerospace industry. You will need to demonstrate sound knowledge and background working with test equipment for this role. As a senior member of the team you will be expected to mentor and share knoweldge with the existing team. Duties Support Technical Review for the deployment of electronic/ electrical solutions Definition, development, integration, validation/verification and release of Electronic and Electrical Solutions Design and integration of electronic and electrical solutions into Test Equipment Systems. Requirements definition, concept, design, verification & validation methods and final release for Test Systems. Assist the Test Equipment Design Manager with the definition of electronic/ electrical solutions Prepare and release documentation in support of the Test Equipment Common Development Process. Maintain and release Documentation during maintenance or upgrade activities. Support Root Cause investigations into all aspects of the Test Equipment System and/ or components as required. Identify appropriate training courses to maintain electronic / electrical capabilities within Moog Wolverhampton Test Equipment Group Background Bachelor Degree Electronic/ Electrical Experience in development of Electronic/ electrical solutions for multi-axis, closed loop, servo-hydraulic and electromechanical Test Systems. Experience in design, selection and application of Safety Related Equipment, PLCs and Motor Drive systems. Demonstrable commercial experience of analogue and digital electronics design. Experience in one or more of the following: eCAD, PCB Software, LabView, DOORS, JIRA, MatLab and SubVersion is advantageous.
