Role Overview

Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Fixed term until 31 August 2027 due to SEND top up funding and the needs of the pupils. September 2026 start date.

Responsibilities

Support pupils with SEND within our internal SEND hubs, working closely with the experienced SENDCo to provide a positive contribution to child learning experiences. Join a friendly and supportive team.

Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 status or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with children with special needs and disabilities.
  • Commitment to improving children’s learning experiences.
  • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) clearance required.
  • Fluency in spoken English (essential requirement).

  • This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is eligible for an enhanced DBS check including a Children’s Barring List Check.
  • This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) – speaking fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement.
Work Details

Location: St Andrew’s Church of England Primary School, Coleman Street, Whitmore Reans, Wolverhampton, WV6 0RH.

Hours: 30 hours per week, term time plus training days.

Grade: Grade 4, £26,403 – £28,142 p.a. Pro‑rated salary £18,414 – £20,437 p.a.

Closing date: Monday 15th June 2026 at 09:00 am.

Shortlisting date: Monday 15th June 2026.

Interviews: Thursday 25th June 2026.
