Location: East London (Hybrid Working)

Overview

We are seeking a Disrepair Inspector to join a busy maintenance team within a leading housing organisation. This is a key role focused on ensuring high standards of repair and maintenance across a varied housing portfolio, with a strong emphasis on quality, compliance, and resident satisfaction.

Duties

• Carry out pre- and post-inspections on repair works
• Ensure all works meet required quality and compliance standards
• Monitor and manage contractor performance
• Identify defects and ensure timely remedial action
• Prepare schedules of work and inspection reports
• Liaise with residents, contractors, and internal teams
• Support health & safety and regulatory compliance

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation, including CDM
• Good understanding of building construction, materials, and trades
• Experience in property inspections or surveying
• Experience working with contractors and/or DLOs
• Ability to produce clear reports and schedules of work
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (and similar systems such as DRS)
