  • Working pattern: Full time
  • Location: Greater Manchester, Sandfold Lane HWRC
  • Hours per week: 38.5
  • Salary: £29,764.65 per annum (approx. £14.82 per hour)
  • Shift pattern: 4 on / 4 off
  • Start/finish times: 10.5 hours per shift in winter (07:45‑18:15) and 12.5 hours per shift in summer (07:45‑20:15)
  • Full PPE provided

What will I be doing?

Providing excellent levels of customer service, you will advise and assist members of the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of materials they are depositing.

  • A flexible approach is required.
  • Operating mobile plant.
  • Full driving licence is required.
  • Maintaining accurate records for the removal of materials from the site.
  • Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly.
  • Maintaining a tidy site within your areas of responsibility.
  • Ensuring SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and other people who may be affected by your actions or omissions.
  • Co‑operating with SUEZ and other employees to comply with the site permit, the applicable legislation, and SUEZ policies and procedures.
  • Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job role.
What are the requirements?
  • Potential to gain qualifications including IOSH health; enthusiastic team player expected to join the site team to ensure operations exceed required standards.
  • Good customer service skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Ideally prior mobile plant use is desirable, but full training will be given.
  • A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
  • Full driving licence.
