Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
- MB ChB or Equivalent
- Full and Specialist Registration
- FRCPath or Equivalent
- Full and specialist registration (and a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC) (or be eligible for registration within six months of interview)
Desirable criteria
- MD, PhD or other higher degree
Teaching and Audit
Essential criteria
- Experience of Audit in Cellular pathology
- Teaching of junior medical staff
- Trained Clinical Supervisor
Desirable criteria
- Teaching of medical students
- Experience of supervision of ST1 level trainees including workplace-based assessment and MSF
- Trained Educational Supervisor
Academic Achievements and Research
Desirable criteria
- Publications in recognised Pathological and Clinical Journals
- Specialist interest in areas of Cellular pathology complementary to other consultants in the departments
- Research projects relating to the specialist area
Interpersonal / Professional Skills
