HGV 1 Driver - Nights, Yate

HGV 1 Drivers Required in Yate BS37 (Nights)

Pay:18.00 - 21.00 per hour

18.00 PAYE 21.00 LTD

Key tasks:

• Trunking

Shift times:

• Shift starts between 16.00 - 18.00 for night shift
• Working Monday - Friday (no weekends)
• Drivers will need to complete an assessment and induction before starting in Shepton Mallet BA4 (paid after first week of working)

Duties:

- Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations

- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment

- Make sure each load is strapped before departing the depot

- Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods

- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption

- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries

Requirements:

- Valid commercial driver's licence 2 years (CDL)

- Clean driving record with no major violations

- Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role

- Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and trailers

- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

- Strong communication and customer service skills

Must complete an unpaid induction before starting with the company.
