The Role:

At Ablebox, we're embarking on an exciting growth journey following significant investment recently in sites and equipment. We're seeking a proactive and versatile Multi-Skilled Engineer to play a pivotal role in the engineering and maintenance of our cutting-edge production equipment.

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, working closely with everyone in the department to ensure the seamless operation of our facility. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, from PPM’s, Breakdowns, ongoing maintenance, projects and continuous improvement initiatives, responsibilities will include:

· Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Execute scheduled maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and enhance equipment reliability.

· Reactive Maintenance: Respond promptly to equipment failures, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions to maintain production continuity.

· Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the engineering team to identify opportunities for process and equipment enhancements, driving efficiency and productivity.

· Facilities Maintenance: Support the upkeep of site facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

The Candidate:

· Highly Flexible

· Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. (17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification is advantageous)

· Experience: Proven experience in a multi-skilled engineering role within a manufacturing environment, with a strong background in both electrical and mechanical maintenance

· Technical Proficiency: Competence in fault-finding, diagnostics, and the use of maintenance management systems

· Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions under pressure

· Team Player: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments

· Commitment to Excellence: A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement and personal development

Location:

The role will be primarily based from our manufacturing site in Yeovil with the occasional need to work from our Sherborne & Henstridge sites when required.
