Global supplier of FMCG and Food products is seeking a Supply Chain Lead to spearhead supply chain best practice and effective delivery of raw materials and finished products. This is a permanent role requiring travel within the UK. Excellent opportunities for progression within the business available. Commutable from: York, Harrogate, Leeds, Wakefield Salary: £ 30,000 - £ 40,000 p.a. + Pension + Bonus The Role The Supply Chain Lead will: * Improve processes and ways of working between company and large customer * Validate forecasts and improve accuracy of finished goods sales * Oversee call-off periods vs planned volumes and manage weekly stock levels vs target also * Identify any potential issues and represent the business in S&OP meetings * Be a single point of contact for an urgent needs or escalations * Drive KPI reviews and reporting and also represent Supply Chain department within NPD meetings The Person The successful applicant for the Supply Chain Lead role will possess a proven supply chain background ideally in the FMCG sector and possess a degree level qualification (or equivalent). Exposure to modern resource planning tools is essential for the role of Supply Chain Lead in addition to being data-savvy and conversant with MS-Excel to an advanced level. Experience using SAP (modules APO and BW) would be advantageous. You will possess flexibility to undertake travel to other UK sites, approx 20% of the working week and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills to both customers within the global account and internal stakeholders.
