Machine Operator/Process Worker, York YO19 6NA

JAR PACKER/LABELLING MACHINE & SHRINK WRAPPING MACHINE OPERATOR - MONDAY TO THURSDAY, 8am - 4.30pm & FRIDAY 7AM - 3:30pm

We are a family owned business manufacturing food in jars for supermarkets, wholesalers and independent retailers.

Role Responsibility
We are currently looking for a trainee machine operator. The main purpose of this role is to operate the labelling and shrink wrapping machines. This is a key role in our business. You will be required to label accurately, wrap neatly and securely shrink wrap cases of jars and palletise accurately according to set patterns, keeping the area clean and tidy. You will work in a warehouse environment. Full training will be given, however, some experience of operating machinery is an advantage.

Hours
8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday & Friday 7am - 3:30pm

Flexibility towards working hours a must as some days we may run over 4.30pm

Starting rate £12.21 until signed off on capability/probation is completed. Full training will be given.

Desirable skills but not essential

• Factory experience
• Awareness of health and safety rules and procedures
• Understanding of food safety
