To apply, you must be a fully HCPC and CSP registered physiotherapist, and able to demonstrate an extensive musculoskeletal physiotherapy practice portfolio including ongoing and relevant post-graduate academic professional development. You will be an autonomous physiotherapist who possesses excellent communication skills, can integrate easily with new multi-disciplinary teams, highly organised, and can perform well under pressure. A First Contact Physiotherapist plays a key role in ensuring musculoskeletal referrals in primary care get the right care at the right time. In this role you will: * Using expert clinical reasoning skills, assess and diagnose complex and varied musculoskeletal patient referrals under time pressures. * Manage a large patient musculoskeletal caseload which can also include the management of acute injuries, chronic pain, women?s health, cardiac rehabilitation, elderly and, rheumatology. * Perform joint/soft tissue injections and joint aspirations (if you have the relevant training to do so) * Onward refer patients for clinical investigations to facilitate diagnosis and treatment plan. * Promote patient self-management to minimise the need for pharmacological interventions. * Comply with statutory regulations and current legislation, meeting quality standards, and delivering against quality and performance indicators.
