Do you have extensive experience working with ASD? Have you experience with PECs and/or Makaton? Can you start working as a SEN learning support assistant immediately? SEN Learning Support Assistant - The Role If you have a minimum of 2 years experience working with SEN students in a special school, then we want you to apply for this 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant role. You would work closely with other SEND support staff providing 1:1 support with a child that has ASD and displays challenging outbursts. This role requires someone that understand the sensory needs and communication difficulties involved in working with a child that is low functioning ASD. Currently the child is in a year 9 class and communicates through PECs so ideally someone with a prior knowledge in this environment is ideal. SEN Learning Support Assistant - The School Working within a specialist ASD school can be a challenging but extremely rewarding role. This school is a MLD to SLD SEN school that specialize in teaching students on the Autistic spectrum. They currently have 65 students on role and are looking for a number of new SEN Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 and provide specialist support to their students.
