Learning Support Assistant, Greenwich

TLTP are currently working with a Secondary school based in Greenwich that is recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join them on a long term basis. The school is looking for someone that is comfortable working with students in KS3 and KS4. You will be required to help on an individual basis and with small groups. You will be working in the schools Learning Support unit; working with students with different needs. You will be helping students that have a range of special needs including behavioural support. The successful individual does not necessarily need experience working in a Secondary school environment however it is beneficial that you have some sort of background working with secondary age students. As the schools new Learning Support Assistant you will need to be able to offer the following; Have a strong classroom presence and be able to establish a positive rapport quickly Be able to support students with different needs You will need to have strong communication and interpersonal skills You should be able to identify and resolve different situations inside and outside the classroom You will need to be able to support students with their class work, so a strong understanding of the UK national curriculum is essential If you are currently looking for a new role and feel this role would be a good fit for you please apply with an up to date CV.
