SEMH Teaching Assistant * 1 to 1 support for 2 pupils * Enfield * Immediate start * Sept 20 - July 21 contract Are you an experienced, resilient SEMH Learning Support Assistant looking for a full-time role? A well-run primary school in Enfield are looking for an Learning Support Assistant with experience to work with 2 pupils with SEMH and EBD. This role is to start as soon as possible. The Role In this role you will be supporting two pupils in Key stage 2, one in year 5 and one in year 6. Both pupils are being supported by social services and have complex emotional issues and trauma. The pupils need significant support throughout the day to access learning both inside and outside the classroom. Behaviour can be challenging at times so experience in de-escalation techniques is important. This role needs consistency to build a good relationship and give both pupils the ongoing support they needs. You will need to be able to quickly build a good rapport and be able to set clear expectations. This role is only suitable for a support worker significant experience in supporting SEMH/EBD children or young people in a previous role. The School This large 4 form entry primary school has a dedicated and welcoming staff team. There is strong leadership in place driving a ethos of all round development.
