The School - School Speech & Language Therapist Servoca education is currently recruiting for an SEN Post 16 Provision in Barnet that accommodates students with autism and other associated needs. This school uses a total communication approach to support students and is looking for either a qualified or trainee speech and language therapist who would be able to join the therapy team and provide essential support. The Role - School Speech & Language Therapist As a speech and language therapist you will provide essential support to students who have difficulties with their communication. All students at the school have special educational needs and you will be supporting those who have little and no verbal communication skills. The Candidate - School Speech & Language Therapist Previous experience of working with special educational needs Speech & Language Therapy qualification (Or in process) Knowledge of alternative communication methods i.e. PECS, Makaton, Signalong, BSL Etc. Aware of the procedure with regards to safeguarding in a school environment Reliable & punctual Ability to risk assess and follow instructions Ability to develop rapport with SEN individualsWhy work with Servoca education?
