1:1 SEN Support Assistant | Year 3 | ASAP, Greenford

Learning Support Assistant - Child with Autism Do you have a passion for working with young people? Do you have training or previous experience working with Autism? Are you looking for a new, rewarding role in a school environment?A large, diverse primary school based in Greenford need an LSA to support a young child in Year 3 to start ASAP working on a 1:1 basis throughout the academic year to help them with their social skills, speech and language, and behaviour. Your aim will be to see progression with learning and their confidence at working more independently as the year goes on. The school will be looking for an LSA that has previous experience and/or training with working with young children with Autism (see training certificates below), as you will need to have a strong understanding in different patterns of behaviour, and good teaching and learning practices for children in school. You will receive support from your class teacher and the senior leadership team on a daily basis, but you will be expected to learn quickly and be responsible for working independently, knowing the pupils schedule, goals and weekly routines. Requirements: Previous experience working in a primary school (required) Experience working with children with Autism (required) Training certificates: Understanding Autism / Autism Awareness (highly desired) Right to Work in the UK Enhanced DBS on the update service Available from September 2020 - July 2021 Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable)This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to get back into work, who has a keen interest in a career in Education.
